At Downham House all young people have a person centred care plan. We aim to provide activities and learning opportunities suited to each individuals need.
Young people are supported by an experienced care team who aim to help each child to achieve and reach their full potential .
Downham House exists solely to serve the children and young people and their families who use our service; our mission is to enhance the quality of life of every one of our service users by providing an innovative, high-quality care and support service in a quality environment. We genuinely consult with the people who use our service, staff and other stakeholders to find ways to improve the service and to introduce new services to meet newly identified needs.
We aim to meet our young people’s needs for independence, personal choice and control, privacy, fulfilment, safety, citizenship and social interaction in respectful and dignified ways that enable them to live more fulfilled lives. We believe that ensuring these needs are met will promote an overall sense of well-being and clearly demonstrate to the people who use our service that care and kindness are at the heart of the service we provide.
